CUMBERLAND, RI- Leona Dorval, 87, wife of the late Emile Dorval, died peacefully March 1, 2014 at a Brewer, ME health care facility with her son by her side.
She was born February 13, 1927 in Woonsocket, RI a daughter of Pierre and Exanna (Galipeau) Rousseau.
She and her husband owned and operated Emile's Diner in Woonsocket for many years.
She is survived by a son Roland Dorval of Orneville, ME; 9 grandchildren Suzzette Gagnon of Foster, RI, Amy Bourget of North Smithfield, RI, Leona Dorval of Milo,ME, Jerimiah Dorval of Bass Harbor, ME, Angela Dorval of Hampden, Audrey Hanley of Bass Harbor, ME, Jamie Long of Claremont, NH, Jason Atkinson of Orneville, ME, and Jennifer Frost of Levant, ME; several great grandchildren, special nephews Albert Renault and Rene Renault of Woonsocket, RI, son-in-law Roland Glaude of Woonsocket; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Emile, a daughter Pauline Glaude, 2 brothers Gerald and Rosario Byron and a sister Blanche.
Burial will be at a later date at St. Jean Baptiste Cemetery, Bellingham, MA.
