BURRILLVILLE - Earl R. Hutchinson III, 64, of Barnes Road, Harrisville died Saturday, March 8, 2014 at home surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Betsy (Adams) Hutchinson.
Born in Providence, a son of Elizabeth (Thayer) Hutchinson of Warwick and the late Earl R. Hutchinson, Jr., he had lived in Harrisville for the past 22 years.
Earl worked for over 30 years in the Marine Industry on Narragansett Bay as a painter. He painted several of the 12 meter sailboats for the America's Cup in the early 1980's. He was a talented woodworker in his Shop at home. He was an avid hot rod enthusiast and attended many car shows with his 1974 Corvette that he worked to restore. He was an avid guitar player.
Besides his wife and mother, he is survived by one son, Jay T. Hutchinson and his wife, Maria of Warwick; and one daughter, Jillian K. Schreib and her husband, Chris of Lakeland, FL.
Relatives and friends may call at BELLOWS FUNERAL CHAPEL, 160 River Road, Lincoln WEDNESDAY 4-8 P.M. His funeral and burial will be private.
