UXBRIDGE- Philippa "Joy" Gould, 68 of Uxbridge died Mon. March 10, 2014 in the St. Camillus Health Center in Whitinsville.
Ms. Gould was employed as a receptionist and medical assistant to Dr. Stephen Leach in the office of the Windham Medical Group in Willimantic, CT for 28 years. In October 2007, she retired and moved to Uxbridge to live with her former husband, Dana J. Gould.
She was born February 20, 1946 in Oxford England, the second of two daughters to Lt. Col. Leslie T. Valentine and Sadie (Valentine) Carr, both deceased. "Joy" spent most of her childhood in Malaysia, England and Africa, moving to the United States in 1962 to live with her sister.
Ms. Gould is survived by two sons, Brian J. Gould of Cheshire, CT and Kevin J. Gould of Whitefield, NH. and 3 grandchildren. She was predeceased by her sister Jacqueline (Logan) Valentine of Loveland, CO.
Funeral services will be private and at the convenience of the family
There are no public visiting hours.
Arrangements are under the direction of Buma Funeral Homes, Uxbridge.
