GREENVILLE- Barbara T. (Noble) Lawnicki, 83, formerly of Easthampton, MA, a resident of The Village at Waterman Lake in Greenville, RI died peacefully March 17, 2014 in her home with those she loved dearly. She was the wife of the late Stanley H. Lawnicki, Sr., a lifelong resident of Easthampton and the daughter of the late John and Mildred (Pennell) Noble.
She was employed for over twenty-five years by the former Spring Action Company in Easthampton, retiring in 1993. After retirement she was a resident of Dickinson Court for nearly twenty years where she enjoyed many dear friendships. Barbara moved to Rhode Island in June of 2013 to spend more time with her family there. She truly loved the time she spent with her grandchildren and most especially her great grandchildren who brought such joy to her life. Nini was always thrilled to attend any event that they were involved in and greatly cherished their art work.
She is survived by her four children; Hank Lawnicki and his wife, Tina of Melboune, FL, Michael Lawnicki and his wife, Jane of South Hadley, MA, Susan Sicard and her partner, Joe Andrade of Warwick, RI, and Cynthia Noble and her husband, Jim Gallagher of Woonsocket, RI. She also leaves her grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and her sister Dorothy May of Buzzards Bay, MA. She was predeceased by her older sister, Gilberta "Tootsie" Pike.
Calling hours will be held in the Holt Funeral Home, 510 South Main Street, Woonsocket, RI on Wednesday, March 19, 2014 from 3:30-5:30 PM. Burial will be Thursday in St. Stanislaus Cemetery, Easthampton, MA. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Home and Hospice Care of RI, 1085 North Main Street, Providence, RI 02904
