NORTH SMITHFIELD- Helene C. (Croteau) Malone, 82, of North Smithfield, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 17, 2014 at home with family by her side. She was the beloved wife for 45 years of James F. Malone of Glasgow, Scotland.
Born in Bellingham, MA on February 15, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Romeo and Stella (Bernard) Croteau. She was the loving mother of Michael D. Martin and his wife, Kristine of Cape San Blas, FL, Mark G. Martin of Glendale, RI, and Scott F. Malone and his wife, Melissa of Harrisville, RI. She leaves her cherished grandchildren, Jessica, Casey and Matthew Martin. She was the sister of Bernard Croteau of West Palm Beach, FL, and the late Fernand Croteau, Theresa Croteau and Gabrielle Tatoria.
A resident of North Smithfield, formerly of Bellingham, Mrs. Malone worked as a bookkeeper for Lawson Trucking, Albert's Service & Repair and TMS of Lincoln. Mrs. Malone was a self-employed accountant and tax consultant. She was a piano player and enjoyed tennis and skiing. Devoted to her family, she will be greatly missed.
Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, March 22nd at 12:00PM at CARTIER'S FUNERAL HOME, 151 So. Main St. (Rte 126), Bellingham, MA. Visiting hours are from 10:30AM to 12:00PM prior to service. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
