WOONSOCKET- Juliette E. (Auger) Duguay, 96, died March 27, 2014 in Woonsocket Health & Rehabilitation Centre. She was the wife of the late Albert A. Duguay.
Born in Woonsocket, she was the daughter of the late Samuel and Alphonsina (Levesque) Auger.
Mrs. Duguay worked for twenty years as a laundry attendant for Blackstone Laundry, Blackstone, MA before retiring in 1983. She was a communicant of All Saints Community Church, Woonsocket, a member of the Y Wives and Girls Club and the Kennedy Senior Club, both of Woonsocket. She was very proud of her volunteer work at the St. James Pre-School in Manville.
She is survived by her two sons, Bernard "Ben" Duguay of Cumberland and Bertrand Duguay of Newport; her daughter, Louise Doire of Charleston, SC; a brother, Robert Auger of Woonsocket; her twin sister, Lorette Lemieux of Woonsocket; four grandchildren and two great grandchildren. She was the sister of the late Normand and Wilfrid Auger, Beatrice Dufresne and Germain Ethier.
Her funeral will be held Wednesday, April 2, 2014 at 10 AM in All Saints Community Church, 323 Rathbun St., Woonsocket. Burial will follow in St. John the Baptist Cemetery, 314 Wrentham Rd., Bellingham, MA. Calling hours are omitted. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Holt Funeral Home, 510 So. Main St., Woonsocket. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 245 Waterman St., Suite 306, Providence, RI 02906.
