MILLVILLE, MA- Joyce L. (Moffat) Duquenoy, 56, of Millville, MA, passed away on Sunday, March 30, 2014 at UMass Memorial Medical Center, Worcester, MA with her loving family by her side.
She was the beloved wife for 30 years of David G. Duquenoy, and the loving mother of Amanda L., Jessica S. and Michaela R. Duquenoy all of Millville, MA.
Born in Wakefield, RI on October 20, 1957, she was the daughter of the late Kelvin J. and Irene B. (Desmarais) Moffat. She leaves her brother, Bruce Moffat and his wife Sheila of Cranston, RI; and her brother-in-law, Denis Duquenoy and his wife, Laurianne of Rehoboth, MA and her sister-in-law, Linda Glennon and her husband, Micky of Nasonville, RI. She leaves her cherished nieces and nephew, Brianna and Jonathan Moffat, Cynthia Phillips, and Pamela Glennon. She was the daughter-in-law of Doris T. Duquenoy of Lincoln, RI and the late George H. Duquenoy.
Joyce was a resident of Millville since 1990 formerly of Providence and Warwick where she was raised and a graduate of Pilgrim High School of Warwick Class of 1975 and Rhode Island College in 1979 and received her Masters Degree in social work. Joyce was an office administrator at Agrium Advanced Technologies of Franklin, MA.
Joyce was a volunteer for the Blackstone Millville Music Association, she also was a Girl Scout Leader for many years in Millville and was a member of Rainbow. Previously, Joyce had done some volunteer work at the Millville Town Hall. Joyce enjoyed hiking, outdoor activities, and the company and activities of the "Kempton Crew". Devoted to her family and friends, Joyce will be greatly missed.
Visiting hours are on Sunday, April 6th from 10AM to 2PM at CARTIER'S FUNERAL HOME, 151 So. Main St. (Rte 126), Bellingham, MA with a Celebration of Life Service at 2PM. Burial will be private. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. In lieu of flowers donations in Memory of Joyce L. Duquenoy may be made to: Shriners Hospital for Children, Attn: Donations, 516 Carew St., Springfield, MA 01104 or online at www.shrinershospitals.org then select Springfield Hospital.
