NORTON MA- Richard J. LaRose 65, resident of Norton MA, formerly of Blackstone MA, passed away March 31, 2014 at his residence.
He was born in Woonsocket RI, son of Muriel (St. Jean) Benoit of Blackstone MA, and the late Arsene John LaRose.
Richard owned & operated Uncle Meanie's Antique Shop in Norton MA, for many years. He was a resident of Norton MA, for over twenty years, previously living in Blackstone. He was a member of the Mason's, and was an avid car enthusiast.
Besides his mother, he is survived by two brothers, Dennis LaRose of Blackstone MA, and David LaRose of Milo ME, a sister Elaine Wethey of Blackstone MA, and many nieces and nephews. He is also survived by three stepbrothers, Alfred Jr. of Belchertown MA, Arthur of Harrisville RI, and Robert Benoit of Blackstone MA, and two stepsisters, Rosemarie Zarr of Millville MA, and Celia Wert of Woonsocket RI.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Robert LaRose.
His funeral will be held Monday at 9am from the Egidio DiPardo & Sons Funeral Home 75 Harris Ave., Woonsocket RI, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in St. Paul's Church in Blackstone MA. Burial will follow in St. Paul's Cemetery. Calling hours will be held Sunday from 4pm until 8pm.
