CUMBERLAND - Dianne L. Fitch, of Cumberland, passed away Monday, April 7, 2014 at the Landmark Medical Center, Woonsocket after a brief illness. She was the wife of Kenneth P. Fitch and they would have celebrated their 44th wedding anniversary on August 16.
Born in Milford, MA, she was the daughter of Marrie (Mather) Thompson-Biggs of Acworth, GA and the late John Dillon of Buzzards Bay, MA. She resided in Cumberland for the past 40 years, previously residing in Franklin, MA. Mrs. Fitch was employed as a School Teacher for the Cumberland School Department for 25 years.
Besides her husband, she leaves her sister, Beverly Dillon of Bridgewater, MA and her brother, John Dillon of Acworth, GA as well as several nieces and nephews.
A celebration of her life will be held Saturday with Visiting Hours from 9 to 11 AM at the J. J. Duffy Funeral Home, 757 Mendon Road, Rt. 122, Cumberland. A prayer service will be held at 11 AM. Relatives and friends are kindly invited.
