SMITHFIELD- Raymond Charles Ferron, 84, of Northbay Manor, formerly of Harkney Hill Road Coventry, Clemmons, NC, and North Smithfield RI. died April 14, 2014 at Northbay. He was the loving and devoted husband of Constance A. (Dubois) Ferron, whom he was married to for sixty years.
Born in North Smithfield, he was the son of the late Charles and Bertha (Dupre) Ferron
Ray worked as a Production Manager for the W.L. Fuller Co. in Warwick before retiring in 1995. He also spent time in N.C. and Algeria as a project manager for Ingersol Rand as well as MANN bus. Ray enjoyed working around the house and yard, watching TV, and travel. He was an avid Boston Bruins fan. He spoke fluent French as well as English.
Besides his wife, he is survived by two sons, Normand R. Ferron. and his wife Beverly of Danielson, CT, Richard Ferron and his wife Meg Weiss of Clemmons, NC; daughter Diane Ferron of West Warwick, three grandchildren, Alicia (Ferron) Murphy, Jeffrey Ferron, and Michael Ferron and his brother Norman Ferron of Boca Raton Florida, as well as two great grandsons. Ray was a Korean War Veteran. There will be a graveside memorial service with military honors at the Veteran's Military Cemetary in Exeter on April 26th at 11am.
