NORTH SMITHFIELD- Lucien W. Belliveau 83, resident of North Smithfield, passed away April 17, 2014 at the Landmark Medical Center in Woonsocket.
He was the loving husband of 44 years to Melodia (Geralde) Belliveau.
He was born in Woonsocket RI, a son of the late Francois Jr., and Rose (Durette) Belliveau.
Lucien worked for the state of Rhode Island as a Forest Ranger, for twenty years. He also served in the US Air Force for twenty years serving during Korea.
Besides his wife he is survived by his children, Joel Geralde and his wife Judith of North Smithfield, Annabelle Lim and Marcial Galarrita of North Smithfield, and Douglas Geralde and his wife Sonia of Millville MA, his grandchildren, Charice, Chiara, Judy Catherine, Douglas Jr. and Christopher. He is also survived by brother, Robert Belliveau of Westerly RI, sisters, Edith Macuga of Uxbridge MA, and Jeannette Moriarty and her husband John of Mendon MA.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Norman Belliveau, and a sister, Estelle Davis.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday at 11am in St. John's Church in Slatersville followed by military honors. Burial will be held privately. Calling hours will be held Monday from 4pm until 8 pm in the Keene-Brown Funeral Home 445 Greenville Rd. North Smithfield RI.
