BURRILLVILLE- Ella Mary (Lavoie) Lawrence, 95, a resident of Pascoag and Chepachet before moving to South Florida, died Tuesday, Feb. 4, 2014 in Green Acres, FL. She was the wife of the late Leo Lawrence.
Born in Burrillville, she was the daughter of the late Alexander and Rose (McNerny) Lavoie.
Ella and her late husband, Leo, were former owners of Lawrence Brothers Paint and Hardware of Harrisville. She loved to travel and took many trips with her husband during their marriage. She enjoyed cooking and baking, especially for family gatherings. She made every effort at Thanksgiving, Christmas and Easter to make the holidays enjoyable and memorable for family and friends.
Ella is survived by three sons, Donald Lawrence of Chepachet, Kevin Lawrence of Coconut Creek, FL and Leon Lawrence of Herkimer, NY, one daughter, Susan Plouffe of Harrisville, eleven grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren. She was the sister of the late Raymond and Louis Lavoie and Agnes Schneider.
Her funeral, beginning with visitation, will be held Friday, April 25, 2014 from 9 to 10:30 AM in the Boucher Funeral Home, 272 Sayles Ave. Pascoag with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM in St. Joseph's Church, 183 Sayles Ave. Pascoag. Inurnment will follow in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Burrillville.
