NORTH SMITHFIELD – Volunteers from Friends of North Smithfield Animal Shelter do lots of things for stray pets at the town’s Animal Control Center at 281 Quaker Highway, but sometimes have trouble getting word out about their work.

That lack of outreach became enough of a concern for the volunteers that some began to talk about ways to put up a website for the organization.
Of course, the volunteer group didn’t have much money to go the traditional route of having one created, but then some members got the idea that maybe Bryant University in Smithfield could find someone to help them out with the project.
