MAPLEVILLE- Noella Joly 81, of Rexmere Rd. died Wednesday at Oakland Grove Health and Rehabilitation Center.
She was born in Woonsocket, a daughter of the late Aldor and Exelina (Gagne) Degre.
Noella was a stitcher for Stitches Inc. for thirty years. She also worked at HB Group and Hamestead Gardens. Noella was an honorary member of the NE Country and Music Association. She loved bingo, music, crocheting and her little dog Sheila.
She is survived by her son Henry Joly Jr. of Providence, two daughters Alice Maynard of Burrillville, and Frances Rodriguez of Greenwood, SC, a brother Huldege Degre of Blackstone, her fiancé Lesley Ellis Jr., five grandchildren, Adam and Danielle Joly, Amy and Tristen Rodriguez, and Matthew Maynard, and eight great-grandchildren. She was also the brother of the late Robert Degre Sr, and Lionel Degre.
Her funeral will be held Tuesday at 9:00 AM from the Fournier & Fournier Funeral, 463 South Main St. Woonsocket, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in Holy Family Church, South Main St., Woonsocket. Burial at a later date will be private. Visiting hours WERE Monday 4-7 PM. Please visit
