NORTH SMITHFIELD- Emile J. Spike Fafard III, 61, resident of North Smithfield, passed away November 17, 2010, at his trophy home that he built.
Loving husband of 43 years to Rev. Diane J. (Bourcier) Fafard.
Born in Woonsocket, a son of Edith (Minot) Fafard and the late Emile Fafard.
Spike's life was committed by his love for deer hunting for the past 42 years. He currently holds the record for the largest shed antlers found in RI. Emile worked as the maintenance supervisor and did major engineering work for over 20 years at Jannell Truck Bodies,
He is survived by his loving children sons, Keith S. and Emile J. Fafard IV, loving daughter Melanie D. Champagne, loving grandchildren, Shawn, Kasey, Maelie, Kylie, Emile Fafard V, and Amber and a loving brother Dennis Fafard. He was the brother of the late Steven Fafard
His funeral service and burial will be held at a later date arrangements are entrusted to the Keene-Brown in North Smithfield.
