BURRILLVILLE - Omer J. Lataille, 86, of Douglas Turnpike, died May 10, 2014 at home. He was the husband of the late Adele (L'Heureux) Lataille. Born in Pawtucket, he was the son of the late Joseph and Rose (Giguere) Lataille.
Mr. Lataille was a foundry worker for Draper Corp., Hopedale for nearly thirty years. He was a communicant of St. Theresa's Church, Nasonville.
He is survived by a son, Richard Lataille of Harrisville, a daughter, Lorraine Sparrow of Mapleville, a sister, Ella Turcotte of No. Smithfield, six grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. He was the brother of the late Rena Mellor.
His funeral will be held Saturday, May 24, 2014 with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM in St. Theresa's Church, 35 Dion Dr., Harrisville. Burial will follow in St. Theresa's Cemetery. Following burial, the family would like to extend an invitation for all to join them in the parish hall. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Holt Funeral Home, 510 South Main Street, Woonsocket, RI. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Theresa's Shrine, 35 Dion Dr., Harrisville, RI 02830.
