Raymond E. Leclerc
MANVILLE - Raymond E. Leclerc, 72, a lifelong resident of Manville, died Friday, June 6, 2014 in Landmark Medical Center, Woonsocket. He was the husband of Claire (D'Anjou) Leclerc, whom he married November 18, 1961. Born in Woonsocket, he was the son of the late Eugene and Lucille (Rainville) Leclerc.
Raymond was a correctional officer for 26 years for the ACI in Cranston and was a firefighter for the Manville Volunteer Fire Department. He had previously worked for Hood Dairy for ten years. Raymond was a communicant of St. James Church, Manville. He was a member of the Manville Sportsmen's Rod and Gun Club. Raymond was an avid New England sports fan who was passionate about the Red Sox.
Besides his wife, he leaves their son, Charles R. Leclerc of Cumberland; their daughters, Rachel R. Kiernan and her husband John of Cranston and Denise J. Leclerc of Manville; two granddaughters, Alicia and Emily Leclerc of Lincoln; his aunt, Lucille Desrosiers of Manville; his cousin, Larry Desrosiers of Smithfield; two brothers in law, Donald and Raymond D'Anjou, both of Cumberland; and many nephews, nieces and cousins.
His funeral will be held Wednesday, June 11, 2014 at 9 AM from the Holt Funeral Home, 510 So. Main St., Woonsocket, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM in St. James Church, 33 Division St. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery. Calling hours are Tuesday from 4-7 PM.
