NORTH SMITHFIELD - Exilda (Marcotte) Jobin, 101, of North Smithfield, RI passed away peacefully on Monday, June 9, 2014 at Saint Antoine Residence, North Smithfield, RI. Born in Blackstone, MA on February 22, 1913, she was the daughter of the late Adjutor and Marie Louise (Laquerre) Marcotte.
She was the beloved wife of the late Dr. Real Jobin. She was the sister of Gabrielle Beaudoin of Cumberland, RI, and the late Alcide, George, Gerard and Andre Marcotte, Aurelie Gingras, and Lucille Hogue. She leaves many nieces, nephews, grand nieces, grand nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
Mrs. Jobin was a longtime resident of Early Village, Blackstone and Bellingham. She worked as an inspector at Miller Electric in Woonsocket for many years until retiring. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting and playing cards. Devoted to her family, she will be greatly missed.
Funeral will be held on Thursday, June 12th at 9:00AM from CARTIER'S FUNERAL HOME, 151 So. Main St. (Rte 126), Bellingham, MA with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00AM at St. Theresa Church, 630 Rathbun St., Blackstone, MA. Interment will follow at St. Jean Baptiste Cemetery, Bellingham.
