NORTH SMITHFIELD - Susan M. (Fournier) Lavigne, 62, of Greenville Rd., No. Smithfield, died June 4, 2014 in Rhode Island Hospital, Providence. She was the wife of the late Francis R. Lavigne. Born in Woonsocket, she was the daughter of Cora (Denomme) Fournier of No. Smithfield and the late Roch Fournier.
Mrs. Lavigne was a homemaker and will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend.
Besides her mother, she is survived by her son, Aaron Lavigne and his wife Celeste of Woonsocket; her daughter, Charlynn DeVito and her husband Phillip of Johnston; four sisters, Elaine Fournier of Johnston, Annie L' Heureux of Redlands, CA, Claire Fournier of Orlando, FL and Karen Fournier of No. Smithfield; and three grandchildren, Joshua, and Emily Lavigne and Ethan DeVito. She was the sister of the late Roger Fournier.
Calling hours will be held Saturday, June 21, 2014 beginning at 2PM followed by a memorial service at 4PM in the Holt Funeral Home, 510 So. Main St., Woonsocket. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Cherry Hill Manor Nursing and Rehab Center, 2 Cherry Hill Rd., Johnston, RI 02919. In honor of the love, care, and support given by the staff.
