WOONSOCKET – Vintage Restaurant, which promised to set the city’s standard for fine dining when it opened nearly two decades ago, abruptly closed its doors this week.

The somber news was confirmed by the owner of the business, Michael Danahy, who also runs the Blue Grotto on Providence’s Federal Hill.

“It was a good experience, a wonderful community,” said Danahy.
