MAPLEVILLE - Raymond N. Girard, 87, of Maplewood Dr., Mapleville, R.I. died on Sunday June 15, 2014 at home. He was the beloved husband of Gladys (Jardine) Girard.
Born in Woonsocket, son of the late Adelard and Alice (Pepin) Girard.
Raymond worked as a machinist for Draper's in Hopedale, R.I. for several years and also at Exercycle in Woonsocket, prior to retiring.
He was a member of the Burrillville Seniors.
Besides his wife Gladys, he is survived by his three children, Pauline Remillard, of North Smithfield, R.I. Diane Ahmed and her husband Luke, of Maine, Ruth and her husband Robert Lafontaine Sr., of Blackstone, Ma. One sister, Mavis Gaudette, of Woonsocket, R.I. and also Twelve grandchildren, Twelve great- grandchildren, and Seventeen great-great grandchildren.
He also was the father of the late Paul Girard and brother of the late Rene Girard and Rita Riel.
A Funeral Home Service will be held on Thursday June 19, 2014 at 11 A.M. in the S.DiPardo Memorial Chapel Funeral Home, 1583 Diamond Hill Rd, Woonsocket. Relatives and friends are invited; Calling hours are from 10-11 AM. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery, Cumberland, R.I.
