BURRILLVILLE - Gerard R. (Jerry) Salvas, 66, resident of Pascoag, passed away Nov. 18, 2010 at his home surrounded by his family, after a brief illness.
Loving husband of 48 years to Mary Ann (Rose) Salvas.
Jerry was a long haul truck driver for 30 years; his latest was delivering mail up and down the east coast. He was a US Navy Veteran.
He is survived by his children, Kim Sale of Harrisville, Robin Salvas of Woonsocket, Brenda Salvas of Thompson CT, Jerry Salvas of Glocester, Kevin and Dawn Salvas of No. Kingstown, Gary Salvas of FL, Brian Salvas of Glocester, Todd Salvas of Woonsocket, Casey, Tyler, Joseph Salvas all living at home, grandchildren, Kevin Salvas Jr., Billy Salvas, Kodi Sale, Joshua Salvas, and Molly Salvas.
His funeral will be held Tuesday at 8:30am from the Keene-Brown Funeral Home 445 Greenville Rd. No. Smithfield, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in St. Josephs Church Sayles Ave., Pascoag. Burial with military honors will be held in St. Patricks Cemetery in Pascoag. Calling hours will be held Monday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM.
