NORTH SMITHFIELD - Rose Anna Ethier, 88, of Mendon Rd., died June 29, 2014 in St. Antoine Residence, No. Smithfield with family by her side. Born in Millville, MA, she was the daughter of the late Mederic and Cora (Gagnon) Ethier.
She worked for forty years as a supervisor for the former Narragansett Knitting Co., retiring in 1994. She spent her life devotionally alongside her late twin sister Rose Alma. She took great joy in her many nephews and nieces.
She is survived by her sister, Jeannette Lavallee of West Wareham, MA; many nieces and nephews and several great nieces and great nephews. She was predeceased by her seven brothers, Alfred, Emile, Ernest, Lionel, Normand, Paul and Romeo Ethier; and her three sisters Rose Alma Ethier, Gertrude Cournoyer and Rita Salois.
Her funeral will be held Thursday, July 3, 2014 at 9 AM from the Holt Funeral Home, 510 So. Main St., Woonsocket, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM in Precious Blood Church, 94 Carrington Ave., Woonsocket. Burial will follow in St. Jean the Baptist Cemetery, Wrentham Rd., Bellingham, MA. Calling hours are Wednesday from 5 - 8 PM. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Antoine Residence, 10 Rhodes Ave., North Smithfield, RI 02896.
