CUMBERLAND - Robert E. Daigle, 71, of Cumberland, passed away Friday, July 4, 2014. Born in Pawtucket, he was the son of the late Bernard and Cecile (Rivard) Daigle. Robert was an Army Veteran of the Vietnam War. He was a big NASCAR fan and was often called NASCAR Bob.
He is survived by two sons, Michael Daigle and Kevin Daigle and his wife Lois, four grandchildren, Kody, Wyatt, Logan, and Owen, two sisters, Jeanne Fagnant and her husband Leon, and Therese Cook and her husband Orin, four brothers, Raymond, Roland and his wife Cheryl, Rene and his wife Diane, and Richard and his wife Alice Daigle, his uncle Bob Daigle, and several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and cousins.
His funeral will be held Wednesday at 9am from the O’Neill Funeral Home, 3102 Mendon Rd, Cumberland, followed by as Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in Saint John Vianney Church, Diamond Hill Rd, Cumberland. Burial with Military Honors will follow in Resurrection Cemetery, Cumberland. Relatives and friends are invited. Visiting hours Tuesday from 4-7pm in the funeral home.
