NORTH SMITHFIELD- Angelo Lombardo, 87, of Elizabeth Ave., No. Smithfield, died Nov. 22, 2010 at Landmark Medical Center. He was the beloved husband of 65 years to Dorothy May (LeBeau) Lombardo.
Born Sept. 16, 1923 in Woonsocket, a son of the late Natal and Patrina (Randonzo) Lombardo. He was a US Army Veteran of WWII.
Angelo worked as a heavy equipment operator for the Town of North Smithfield Hwy Department for 22 years where he was the organizer and first union president. He also worked for the former Branch River Mill Company for many years.
Besides his wife, he is survived by a son John Lombardo of North Smithfield.
He was the brother of the late James, Antonio and Joseph Lombardo, Mary Iannolli, Rosanna Hutto and Josephine Rossi.
A committal service will be held on Friday at 11am in Union Cemetery, No. Smithfield. Arrangements are entrusted to the Egidio DiPardo and Sons Funeral Home, 75 Harris Ave., Woonsocket. Calling hours are one hour prior on Friday morning from 10 - 11 am.
