COREA, ME - Wallace Learned Holt, 84, of Corea, Maine died peacefully on June 14, 2014 in Millbridge, Maine. He was the husband of Marjorie (Forsythe) Holt. Born in Woonsocket, the son of the late Wallace Sumner Holt and Amy (Barker) Holt.
Wally left Woonsocket in 1948 to enter the US Marine Corps and served in the Korean War. He settled in Corea, Maine in 1974 and was a longtime employee of Northwest Airlines, retiring in 1992.
Besides his wife, he leaves one son, Wallace L. Holt, Jr. in Florida, one brother, Howard R. Holt of Wakefield, RI and three grandchildren. Having been predeceased by two of his children, Jonathan and Holly Holt, he was also the brother of the late Craig B. Holt and Judith (Holt) Porter.
Funeral arrangements were private.
