WOONSOCKET - Solange L. "Sally" (Belair) DiSpirito, 83, of Woonsocket, died Monday, July 28, 2014 in the St. Antoine Residence, No. Smithfield. She was the wife of the late Emilio DiSpirito, Jr. and the late Herve E. Bissonnette. Born in South Bellingham, MA, she was the daughter of the late Eugene and Marie-Anne (Fluette) Belair.
Sally was a communicant of Our Lady Queen of Martyrs Church. She was a member of the Parkview Social Club.
She leaves four sons, Maurice A. Bissonnette of Hummelstown, PA, Marc P. Bissonnette of No. Smithfield, Guy N. Bissonnette of Salisbury, MD and Rene E. Bissonnette of No. Providence; two daughters, Lucie A. Spence of Wethersfield, CT and Louise M. Chartier of Burrillville; five stepsons, Emilio DiSpirito, III of Bellingham, MA, Christopher DiSpirito of Lincoln, John DiSpirito of Pawtucket, Peter DiSpirito of No. Smithfield and James DiSpirito of Bellingham, MA; six stepdaughters, Mary DiSpirito of Lincoln, Hylda Zommer of No. Smithfield, Laura Laprade and Emma St. Germain, both of Burrillville, Christine Cote of No. Smithfield and Frances DiSpirito of Woonsocket; two sisters, Marguerite Allard of Cumberland and Genevieve Lambert of Leominster, MA; many grandchildren; and several great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her brothers, Eugene, Jacques and Gerard Belair; and her sisters, Madeleine Belair and Monique Wheat.
Her funeral will be held Friday, August 1, 2014 at 9 AM from the Holt Funeral Home, 510 So. Main St., Woonsocket with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM in Our Lady Queen of Martyrs Church, 1409 Park Avenue. Burial will follow in St. John the Baptist Cemetery, 314 Wrentham Road, Bellingham, MA. Calling hours are Thursday from 5-8 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Arthritis Foundation, PO Box 96280, Washington, D.C. 20077.
