BURRILLVILLE - Anthony P. "Tony" Mottola, Sr., 67, of Pascoag, RI, passed away July 29, 2014 at the Landmark Medical Center in Woonsocket.
He was the loving husband of 48 years to Suzanne (Cates) Mottola.
He was born in Woonsocket, son of the late Anthony & Constance (Paul) Mottola.
Tony was a US Marine veteran of Vietnam. He recently retired from Algonquin Gas Transmission Company and had previously worked for General Motors for 20 years. He was an avid race car fan and loved taking trips to the amusement parks with his loving family. His pride and joy was his 1974 Chevy Nova. He was a great husband, father, grandfather, and friend to all who knew him and was always ready to lend a hand wherever needed.
Besides his wife he is survived by his children, Anthony, Jr, and his wife Jessi, Stacey Mottola and her companion Greg, brother, Tom Mottola and his wife Denise, sister in law, Kathleen Howard, grandchildren, Angelle, Evan, Sarah, and Natalia. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews, his dog Dudley, and cat Lily.
His funeral will be held Friday at 10am from the Brown Funeral Home, 1496 Victory Hwy., Oakland, with a Funeral Service at 11am in St. Patrick's Cemetery Chapel in Pascoag, where his burial with military honors will take place. Calling hours will be held Thursday from 5pm until 8pm.
