Leo P. Sweeney, Sr.

NORTH SMITHFIELD - Leo P. Sweeney, Sr., 75, of Slatersville, passed away on July 24 2014 in the Fatima Hospital in North Providence.
He was born in North Smithfield, RI, son of the late Paul & Yvonne (Armstrong) Sweeny.
Leo was a construction worker and also did demolition work in the Northern RI area for many years. He was a former resident of Burrillville and was a member of The Island Fly Fishing Club and the Hoisting Engineers Union.
He is survived by a daughter, Lori Brown, a stepson, Michael Taylor, three grandchildren, one great grandchild, and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Pauline Clausen, and two brothers, Roger and Francis Sweeney.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday at 11am in St. Theresa's Church, Dion Dr., Nasonville. Burial, with military honors, will follow in the parish cemetery. Calling hours will be held before the mass from 9:30 until 10:30am in the Keene-Brown Funeral 445 Greenville Rd., North Smithfield.
