WOONSOCKET - Alfreda F. Peloquin, 95, formerly of Greene St. Woonsocket died peacefully Friday afternoon with her family by her side at The Friendly Home. She was the wife of the late Lionel E. Peloquin.
Born in St. Michel-des-Saints P.Q. Canada she was a daughter of the late Alfred and Leonie (Delorme) LaBreche. She came to the United States with her family as a small child and was a lifelong resident of Woonsocket.
Mrs. Peloquin was employed in her early years in the local textile industry at several mills including Narragansett Knitting and later worked at Tupperware in Blackstone for over 22 years before retiring in 1980.
She was a communicant of Precious Blood Parish and later Our Lady Queen of Martyrs Parish. Alfreda was a loving wife and mother and cherished her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and extended family.
She is survived by two daughters Jeanne C. Dorio and her husband, Frank, of New Smyrna Beach, FL., and Pauline D. LaBine of Woonsocket. She was the mother-in-law of the late Clem W. LaBine, Jr. She is survived by two granddaughters Natalie A. Bendele of Westminster, CO, and Gayne Dorio of Lake Mary, FL. and two great-granddaughters Alyssa and Mikayla Bendele. She was the sister of Jeannette Guilbert of Woonsocket and the late Doria, Lomer, Gustave, Claude and Robert LaBreche, Sr. Doris LaBreche, RJM and Sr. Claire LaBreche RJM. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews and their families.
Her Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday at 10:00 am in Our Lady Queen of Martyrs Church, Park Ave. Woonsocket. Burial will follow in Resurrection Cemetery, Cumberland. Visiting hours are Wednesday morning from 8:30-9:30 am, prior to Mass, in the Menard-Lacouture Funeral Home, 127 Carrington Ave. Woonsocket. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to The Friendly Home Activities Fund, 303 Rhodes Ave. Woonsocket, RI. 02895.
