Russell L. Houde Sr.

NORTH SMITHFIELD - Russell L. Houde Sr, 71, of Mendon Rd. died Saturday August 9, 2014 at home with his family by his side. He is the husband of Madeline M. (Teper) Houde.
Born in Woonsocket, son of Leonard Houde of Woonsocket, and the late Marguerite (Martin) Houde.
Russell worked as a supervising Chemist for the state of Rhode Island. He was a loving husband father and grandfather.
He was a graduate of St. Michael's College, in Vermont, obtaining a BA degree, and also an MBA from Bryant University, ASTM. He was a Boy Scout Troop Leader, Committee Chairman and Treasurer of the Woonsocket Sportsman Club.
Besides his loving wife Madeline he is survived by his two sons, Russell L. Houde Jr and his wife Monica, of Slatersville, and Marc R. Houde and his wife Gretchen, of Burrillville, four grandchildren, Jennifer, Matthew, Neila, and Aloka.
His funeral and burial are private. In lieu of flowers donations to St. John's the Evangelist Church, Church St. Slatersville, R.I. 02876 and St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis TN. 38105 in his memory will be appreciated.
The S.DiPardo Memorial Chapel Funeral Home, 1583 Diamond Hill Rd. Woonsocket, RI is in charge of the arrangements.
