Henderson selected as WHS principal

August 14, 2014

WOONSOCKET — Carnell Henderson, 41, has always had a goal of doing something more since he was a student at Woonsocket High School and member of the graduating class of 1991.

Back then, he will tell you today, there wasn’t a concrete plan of what “more” would be, but Henderson just knew from the support he had received from his family, his coaches, and his teachers in school he would some day be involved in the leadership of his community.

The promise of that goal was realized on Wednesday when Henderson was named the principal of his former high school and the Woonsocket Area Career and Technical Center (WACTC) by a unanimous vote of the School Board. The action must now be ratified by the state Budget Commission when it considers city spending matters.
