CHEPACHET - Leonard R. Champagne, age 67, died suddenly at home in Chepachet, RI pm August 12, 2014. He was born in Pawtucket and was the beloved son of the late Aline (Blouin) and Raymond L. Champagne.
Len is survived by brothers Donald and his wife Mabel of Silver Spring, MD, Richard and his wife Cheryl of Uxbridge, MA, sister-in-law Annette, wife of his late brother Allen of Pawtucket, brother Thomas of Pawtucket and sister Christine and her husband Alan of Mashpee, MA as well as five nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his devoted fiancée Karin Holubesko.
Len attended St. Raphael's Academy, Pawtucket and upon graduation served four years in the Air Force. He then worked the majority of time in the field of electronics, spending many years as a Senior Test Engineer for Honeywell/Bull and CVS Headquarters.
A Memorial Mass will be held 9 AM Thursday, August 21, 2014 at St. Theresa Shrine of the Little Flower, Nasonville, RI. His burial will be held privately at a later time.
Len will be remembered for his generous nature, as well as his kind and gentle spirit. We will miss his wonderful smile.
