PASCOAG - Wallace F. Lees, 82 of Pascoag passed away peacefully Friday evening at the Philip Hulitar Inpatient Center in Providence. He was the beloved husband of Elizabeth (Simpson) Lees. Born in Harrisville he was the son of the late Alfred and Vera (Fraser) Lees.
Mr. Lees was a 31 year veteran of the Burrillville Police Department retiring at the rank of Police chief in 1994. He was a member of the Burrillville Town Council for 20 Years. He was a member of the Pascoag Fire Department, Operating Committees of Pascoag Utilities district, Pascoag Senior Citizens, past member of the Lyons Club, Officer of Pasco Lake ski shows and "Dunkin Donuts Club of Pascoag." Wallace loved his family, travels with Betty's pen pal Eileen & Eric and his Australian visits to his extended families. Also his lifelong friendship with Pat & Bill Mageau. He enjoyed watching the Bruins, Patriots and most of all his sweets.
Besides his wife he is survived by two Sons Wallace F. Lees, Jr. of Hudson, NY and Douglas B. Lees of Pascoag; two daughters Sheila M. Lees-Costello and her husband Peter of Attleboro, MA and Donna L. Pacheco of Pascoag; three grandchildren Tamara Pacheco, Brianne Racine and Kayla Rambacher; one great grandchild Nora Rose Racine. He was the brother of the late Alfred and Donald Lees and Winifred Anderson.
The Funeral will be held Wednesday at 10 AM in the Pascoag Community Baptist Church 111 Church Street Pascoag, RI 02859. Relatives and friends are invited and may call Tuesday from 1-3 PM and 5-9 PM in Boucher Funeral Home 272 Sayles Avenue in Pascoag. Burial will be held in Pascoag Cemetery. In lieu of Flowers donation may be made in his memory to Wallace F. Lees High School Scholarship Fund C/O Burrillville Town Hall 105 Main Street Harrisville, RI 02830.
