BURRILLVILLE - Gordon H. Beckwith 87, resident of Pascoag, passed away August 19, 2014 at the Overlook Nursing & Rehabilitation in Pascoag RI.
Loving husband of 54 years to the late Barbara (Cambio) Beckwith.
He was born in Charlton MA, a son of the late Charles & Gertrude (Stevenson) Beckwith.
Gordon was a chef at the Zambarano Hospital retiring in 1983. He lived most of his life in Burrillville, and was a WWII Army veteran. He was a very active member of the Berean Baptist Church. He enjoyed the outdoors especially traveling to his camp in NH.
He is survived by his daughter, Maryellen "Becky" Duff and her husband Daniel of Mooseup CT, grandchildren, Kristine Sullivan and David Vincent, great grandchildren, Keith Vincent and Samantha Sullivan and Robert Beckwith and his wife Carlene.
He was preceded in death by his brothers, Henry, and Robert Beckwith.
A Funeral Service will be held Saturday at 10am in the Brown Funeral Home 1496 Victory Hwy. Oakland. Burial will follow in Pascoag Cemetery. Calling hours will be held Friday from 4pm until 7pm. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Berean Baptist Church PO Box 111 Harrisville RI 02830.
