WOONSOCKET - Shameeka Marie Coger, 16 of Morton Ave. died Friday August 15, 2014 in Landmark Medical.
Born in Boston, MA., daughter of Shamekia Coger - Young and Santonio Young of Woonsocket.
Shameeka was an 11th grade student at Woonsocket High School.
She enjoyed designing cloths, and spending time with her family and friends.
Besides her mother and father she is survived by her two sisters, Tiara Young and Starr Young, both of Woonsocket, her maternal grandmother Shirley Coger, and Alphonso Jones, of Boston, MA. Paternal Grandparents, Carrie and Darion Hunter, of Brockton, MA. Maternal great - grandparents, Melvin and Eloise, of White Tenn. Paternal great - grandmother, Liz Young, of Boston, MA, Her godmother, Christine Rogers, of Woonsocket., Godfather, Chet Cohen and godmother Katrina Ashque, of Brockton, MA.
She is also survived by several aunts, uncles and cousins.
A Service of Remembrance, will be held on Monday August 25, 2014 at 7 P.M. in the S.DiPardo Memorial Chapel Funeral Home, 1583 Diamond Hill Rd. Woonsocket, RI. Relatives and friends are invited; calling hours are on Monday, from 4-7 P.M. Burial will be private.
