BURRILLVILLE - Rita M. Scott, 96, resident of Pascoag, RI, passed away August 24, 2014 at the Overlook Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Pascoag.
She was the loving wife to the late Warren Scott, Sr.
She was born in Pawtucket, RI, a daughter of the late Arthur & Aurore (Girouard) Emery.
Rita worked for the former Tech Industries in Central Falls. She was a resident of Burrillville, formerly living in Cumberland. She was a former member of the Boy Scouts Troop #10 in Ashton, and former auxiliary member of Post #14 in Cumberland. She enjoyed knitting, but most of all she loved being a homemaker, mother and grandmother.
She is survived by one daughter, Gloria Cook, and six sons, Armand, Vincent, Henry, Ernest, Donald, and David Scott. She is also survived by 24 grandchildren and 45 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son, Warren Scott, Jr. and her brothers and sisters.
A Funeral Service will be held Thursday at 10am in the Keene-Brown Funeral Home, 445 Greenville Rd., North Smithfield. Burial will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Cumberland. Calling hours will be held Wednesday from 4pm until 7pm.
