TAUNTON, MA- Cecile M. Mailloux, 69, of Fall River, formerly of Woonsocket, died Thursday at Morton Hospital in Taunton, MA. She was the wife of Alphonse Mailloux.
Born in Woonsocket, she was a daughter of the late Leo and Antonia (Bourget) Cote. She was a graduate of St. Clare high school class of 1958.
Upon her graduation she entered the Sisters of the Religious of Jesus and Mary and was known in Religious life as Mother Mary of the Immaculate Heart.
Following her 16 years in religious vocation she was a teacher in the Fall River public schools for many years.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son, Anthony Mailloux of Fall River, and her siblings Marcel Cote of North Smithfield, Lionel Cote of Burrillville, Rene Cote of Woonsocket, Muriel Gagnon and Rachel Gamache, both of Woonsocket, and Sr. Alice Cote RJM of Maryland. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Her Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday at 10:00 am in Precious Blood Church, Carrington Ave., Woonsocket. Burial will follow in St. Jean Baptiste Cemetery, Bellingham. Visiting hours are omitted. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to RJM Haiti Fund, 125 Michigan Ave. NE, Washington, DC, 20017. Arrangements are by the Menard-Lacouture, 127 Carrington Ave., Woonsocket.
