Roger J. Lachance

WHITINSVILLE- Roger J. Lachance, 75, of Douglas Rd. died Wed. Dec. 1 at St. Vincent Hospital after an illness. He is survived by his wife of 48 years Pauline D. (Beaudoin) Lachance; his brother Raymond Lachance of N. Smithfield; and several nephews and nieces.
Born in Woonsocket, RI on June 17, 1935 he was son of the late Ferdina L. and Marie R. (Rondeau) Lachance and lived in Whitinsville since 1962.
Mr. Lachance worked as a traffic manager for the G.E. Telechron Co. in Ashland 26 years. He also worked for Coz Chemical Co. in Northbridge several years. Previously he worked at the former Whitin Machine Works. He was a U.S. Navy Korean Conflict veteran, serving in the Medical Corps. He enjoyed working around his home, watching sports and bowling. He was a member of St. Patrick's Church.
His funeral will be held Fri. Dec. 3, at 11 a.m. in St. Patrick's Church, 1 Cross St. Burial will follow in St. Patrick's Cemetery. Calling hours at Jackman Funeral Home, 12 Spring St. are Fri. Dec. 3 from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m.
