NO. SMITHFIELD- Adrien R. "Babe" Mayer, 87, of Great Rd., died Thursday, December 2, 2010 in Landmark Medical Center, Woonsocket. He was the husband of Marie Ann (Vadenais) Mayer and the late Fern (Cloutier) Mayer.
Born in Woonsocket, he was the son of the late Raymond and Alice (Duhamel) Mayer.
Mr. Mayer worked as a Mason for the former Marini Brothers, No. Providence. He was an avid gardener and especially enjoyed garden design. He also enjoyed traveling to Vermont and was a communicant of St. John the Evangelist Church and a member of the No. Smithfield Senior Citizens.
He is survived by a son, Paul Mayer of FL, a daughter, Susan Beauregard and her husband Rene of Orlando, FL, two stepsons, Gary and Glenn Letourneau, a stepdaughter, Jan Lemoine, a sister, Jeannette Turcotte of Woonsocket, five grandchildren, five step grandchildren, two great grandchildren and five step great grandchildren. He was the brother of the late Violet Demers and Doris Mazelli.
His funeral, beginning with visitation from 9-10AM in the Holt Funeral Home, 510 So. Main St., Woonsocket, will be held Saturday, December 4, 2010 at 10:30AM in St. John the Evangelist Church, 63 Church St., No. Smithfield. Burial will follow in the Parish Cemetery.
