Armand J. Landini, 93, of Woonsocket, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 6, 2010 at Oakland Grove Health Center. He was the beloved husband of the late Sylvia (Troiani) Landini. Born in Woonsocket on October 16, 1917, he was the son of the late Jovanni and Carmela (Pierpaoli) Landini.
He was the loving father of Marie A. Paulhus of Yarmouth, MA and Nancy L. Landini and her husband, Gil Leclerc of Woonsocket; and his cherished three grandchildren and great-granddaughter. He was predeceased by his brothers Leno, Edelio, and Antonio Landini, and his son-in-law Lawrence R. Paulhus.
Mr. Landini was a supervisor at New England Paper Tube of Pawtucket for many years until his retirement. He was a World War II U.S. Army Veteran attaining the rank of Sergeant. He was a longtime resident of Woonsocket, and a member of the Italian Working Menâ€™s Club. Always known to have a smile, we were blessed to have him for so many years. He was a â€śGood Manâ€ť who for over 40 years ate salami sandwiches everyday of his working years, played cards, and was an avid NY Giants football fan.
Funeral will be held on Saturday, December 11, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00AM at St. Anthonyâ€™s Church, Greene St., Woonsocket. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. There are no calling hours and burial will be private. Donations in memory of Armand J. Landini may be sent to Books Are Wings, P.O. Box 16623, East Providence, RI 02916, would be appreciated.
