Beatrice Donalda Ducharme

INDIAN TRAI, NC- Beatrice Donalda Ducharme "Memere" was called back to the Lord on Saturday, December 11, 2010 at age 95 years. Beatrice passed peacefully at home while surrounded by her family.
She was born on March 24, 1915 in Pascoag, Rhode Island to the late Joseph and Donalda Ducharme. She was the wife of the late Joseph Roderick Ducharme.
The Ducharme's were married on May 14, 1938 and remained together for 42 years until his passing. Beatrice was a life-long resident of Rhode Island until relocating to Indian Trail, NC in 2006.
Beatrice worked as a textile spinner and thereafter, she was employed by the Tupperware Company in Blackstone, MA where she worked for over 15 years before retiring at age 65 years. She enjoyed an active retirement at Mendon One in Cumberland, RI where she spent time in the company of family and friends. Beatrice often served at mass and was an active member of St. Patrick Catholic Church in Cumberland, RI. Beatrice lovingly cooked and cared for others.
Beatrice is survived by three daughters - Joyce Smith and her husband Arnold of Woonsocket, RI, Linda Ducharme of Southwick, MA and Kathleen Tetu and her husband Armand of Indian Trail, NC; a sister-in-law, Alma Garvin of Pascoag, RI; 6 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-granddaughter; many nieces; nephews; cousins; friends; Church family and neighbors.
Visitation for Beatrice will be Thursday, December 16, from 9-11a.m. at Brown Funeral Home with a Mass celebrating Beatrices life immediately following at Our Lady of Good Help Catholic Church, 1063 Victory Highway, Mapleville with the Rev. Robert L. Marciano officiating. Interment will follow in St. Patrick's Cemetery Chapel in Pascoag.
