WOONSOCKET- Michael J. Cormier, 47, of Mendon Rd. died Monday December 13, 2010, in the Home and Hospice Care of Rhode Island, surrounded by his family.
He was the husband of Denise M. (Laplume) Cormier.
Born in Woonsocket, son of Richard and Vivian (Chapdelaine) Cormier.
Michael worked as a Supervisor for Tech Industries, for 20 years.
He enjoyed restoring his antique Oldsmobile and wood crafts. He was an avid New England Patriot and Red Sox fan.
He is also survived by one son, Joshua M. Cormier, and one daughter Elisha M. Cormier, both of Woonsocket, and one sister Debbie Vasquez, of Woonsocket, and Maternal Grandmother, Rita Chapdelaine of Woonsocket.
His funeral will be held Saturday December 18, 2010, at 9 A.M. from the S. DiPardo Memorial Chapel Funeral Home, 1583 Diamond Hill Rd., Woonsocket with a Mass of Christian burial at 10:30 in St. Joseph Church, Mendon Rd. Woonsocket. Burial will be in St. Paul Cemetery, Blackstone, MA. Relatives and friends are invited. Calling hours are Friday from 4-8 P.M. In lieu of flowers at the families request is to please help other families dealing with cancer by donating to the Neely House, 750 Washington St. Boston, MA 02111 it would be deeply appreciated.
