WOONSOCKET- Emily T. (LaPointe) Burrows 81, of Cumberland St. died Wednesday at Landmark Medical Center. She was the wife of the late Earl Burrows. Mrs. Burrows was born in Barrington a daughter of the late Rudolph and Bertha (Pollette) LaPointe. She worked as a molder for Tupperware for many years and a cook for the Enrico Caruso club for three years before retiring in 1990.
She is survived by a son Earl Burrows of Oxford MA, two daughters Beatrice Hubert of Glendale and Brenda Moison of Woonsocket, two brother George LaPointe of CA and Wilfred LaPointe of Blackstone, two sisters Beatrice Farquhar and Ethel Fountaine both of Woonsocket, six grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. She was also the mother of the late Russell and Frankie Burrows and sister of the late Donald and Rudolphe LaPointe.
Her funeral will be held Tuesday at 9:00 AM from the Fournier & Fournier Funeral Home, 99 Cumberland St. with a service in the funeral home at 10:00 AM. Burial will follow in the RI Veteran Cemetery in Exeter. Visiting hours are Monday 6-8 PM. Please visit
