Harriet Sutherland

SO. YARMOUTH- Harriet (LeBlanc) Sutherland, of South Yarmouth, where she has lived since 1986, died Wednesday, December 29, 2010 at her home. She was 75.
Formerly of Woonsocket, RI, she was born in Dedham, the daughter of the late Joseph and Margaret (Ward) LeBlanc, and was a 1953 graduate of Wrentham High School.
She retired in 1985 after 32 years with Bird & Son Roofing in Walpole, having worked in the accounting department. She had also worked as a sub-contractor for 2 years for the New England Telephone Co., and was currently employed part-time with the Davenport Companies in South Yarmouth, since 1988. She was also a member of St. Pius X, Catholic church in So. Yarmouth.
Wife of 40 years to the late Albert L. Sutherland, she was the mother of Patricia J. Aubin and her husband Roland of Woonsocket. Sister of Margaret Peggy Mercier of Wrentham, Joseph Nick LeBlanc and his wife Michelle of North Attleboro, and the late Robert LeBlanc and Natalie Lebrun. She is also survived by 2 granddaughters, Alison M. and Jennifer J. Aubin of Woonsocket.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, January 5, 2011 at 9AM at St. Marys Church, 140 South St., Wrentham.
Visiting hours at the R. J. Ross Funeral Home, 135 South St., Wrentham, will be on Tuesday afternoon from 4-8PM. Interment will be in Centre Cemetery in Wrentham.
