BLACKSTONE- Theresa (Boutiette) Giguere Bockstael, 72, of Blackstone, MA passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 2, 2011 at Rhode Island Hospital. She was the beloved wife of the late George Bockstael and the late Roland A. Giguere.
Born on August 3, 1938 in Cumberland, RI, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Yvonne (Bridge) Boutiette.
She was the loving mother of Roland R. Giguere, Sr. and his wife, Maureen, of Blackstone, MA; and her cherished grandchildren, Roland R. Giguere, Jr. and his wife, Kimberly, Jamie Giguere and Parker White; and her great-granddaughter Kylie White all of Blackstone. She leaves her last surviving brothers of a very large family, John Boutiette of Cumberland and Charles Boutiette of Woonsocket.
A resident of Blackstone since 1959, she was formerly of Cumberland where she was raised and attended school. Theresa had worked at Tupperware, Polytop, Colby Glass, The Holiday Nursing Home and did housekeeping for private families. She enjoyed dancing at the VFW in Uxbridge and Cumberland, she loved the ocean and going to Vermont. She was a communicant of St. Theresa Church. Devoted to her family and will be greatly missed.
Funeral will be held on Friday January 7, at 9:00AM from CARTIER'S FUNERAL HOME, 151 So. Main St. (Rte 126), Bellingham, MA with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00AM at St. Theresa Church, 630 Rathbun St., Blackstone, MA. Interment will follow at St. Jean Baptiste Cemetery, Bellingham. Visiting hours are on Thursday, January 6, from 5 to 8PM. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
