William F. Cassidy, Jr

GLOCESTER – William F. “Bill” Cassidy, Jr. 51, of Pound Rd., Glocester died Jan. 6, 2011 at home surrounded by his family. He was the loving companion of Carol Fernandes.

Born May 21, 1959 in Woonsocket a son of the late William F. and Marie (Bernier) Cassidy, Sr.

Bill worked in construction for over 30 years owning and working at various construction companies.

Bill’s love for the outdoors made him an avid hunter and fisherman.

Besides his companion he is survived by a son, Lucien Cassidy of W. VA; step-children, Dean Fernandes of Glocester and Jessica Fitchie of FL; brothers Albert Mercier, George “Tiny” Lanoue of Woonsocket and Lucien “Butch” Lanoue of Pascoag.

His funeral will be held on Tuesday at 8:30 am from the Egidio DiPardo & Sons Funeral Home, 75 Harris Ave., Woonsocket with a Mass of Christian burial at 10 am in St. Eugene’s Church, Chepachet. Burial will follow in St. Jean the Baptiste Cemetery, Bellingham. Calling hours are Monday from 5-8 pm.
