WOONSOCKET - Ernest L. "Slim" Lesperance, 83, of Woonsocket, RI died Friday, January 7, 2011 in Oakland Grove Health Care Center, Woonsocket, RI. He was born in Blackstone, MA son of the late Alexander and Mary (Carrigan) Lesperance.
He was a Union Painter and a member of the Painters Union.
Mr. Lesperance is survived by one son: Gerald A. Lesperance and his wife Lori of Blackstone, MA; one grandson: Shawn Lesperance of Blackstone, MA; one brother: Robert L'Esperance; four sisters: Helen LeBlanc, Yvonne Carpentier, Rosemary Gritte, and Theresa Bernache. He was predeceased by two brothers: Edward L'Esperance and Alexander L'Esperance and two sisters: Doris Allard and Mary Barroso.
Mr. Lesperances funeral will be held at 9:00 am Friday, January 14, 2011 from the James E. Kellett and Son Funeral Home, 38 Main St., Blackstone, MA followed by a mass at 10:00 am in St. Pauls Church, St. Paul's St., Blackstone, MA. Burial will follow in St. Paul's Cemetery, Gaskill St., Blackstone, MA.
Calling hours will be held Thursday, January 13, 2011 from 5:00-8:00 pm.
