Normand R. Dansereau

WOONSOCKET- Normand R. Dansereau 82, of Logee St. died Tuesday at Landmark Medical Center. He was the husband of the late Muriel (Dagesse) Dansereau.
Mr. Dansereau was born in Woonsocket a son of the late Euclide and Ida (Soucy) Dansereau.
He was a mechanic for Owens Corning Fiberglas in Ashton for thirty years before retiring in 1983. He then worked part time as a security guard for the Woonsocket Medical Center for six years. Mr. Dansereau was member of the Knights of Columbus. Normand enjoyed the outdoors and spent many years camping.
He is survived by a son Ronald N. and his wife Jeanne of Woonsocket three daughters Helen M Durand and her husband Andre and Cindy A. Kadelski and her husband Stephen all of Woonsocket, and Lisa M. Darveau and her husband Michael of N. Smithfield, a sister Jeanne Vincent of Warwick, five grandchildren Jason, Ryan, Paul, Olivia, and Noah and two great grandchildren Ashley, and Jayden. He was also the father of the late Roger Dansereau and brother of the late Aldor P. Dansereau.
His funeral will be held Saturday at 9:00 AM from the Fournier & Fournier Funeral Home, 99 Cumberland St. Woonsocket with a Mass of Christian Burial at10:00 AM in St. Agatha's Church, Joffre St. Woonsocket. Burial will follow in St. Jean Baptiste Cemetery in Bellingham. Visiting hours are Friday 4-7 PM. In lieu of flowers donations to the MS Society, RI Chapter, 205 Hallene Rd. Suite 209 Warwick, RI 02886 in his memory would be appreciated.
