LOVELL, MAINE- Catherine (Benoit) Marks died Wednesday, January 12 at home in Lovell, Maine, surrounded by family with her husband by her side. She was the wife of James J. Marks, formerly of North Smithfield Rhode Island, and daughter of Ernest Benoit (deceased) and Claire M. Poulin, wife of Charles A. Poulin of Millville, MA.
Catherine Benoit and James Marks were married at St. Augustine's Church on August 27th, 1977 in Millville, MA.
Born in Waltham, MA in 1956, Catherine is survived by two sisters, Carleen Guertin of Harrisville, RI, Claudette Barrett of Millville MA, and one brother, Charles G. Poulin of Millville, MA. She is also survived by many nephews, nieces, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
She graduated from Blackstone Millville Regional High School in 1974 and attended college at Community College of Rhode Island. Catherine loved nature, canoing and hiking. She grew up in Millville, MA and moved to Lovell, Maine with her husband in 1991.
A Funeral Mass will be held in Fryeburg, Maine on January, 17th at 1pm at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church.
A Memorial Mass will be held at St. Augustine's Church in Millville, MA, on Tuesday, January 18th at 9am.
